History of Alcom

We are pioneers in marketing Telecommunication products in Singapore with excellent track record 33 years for Residential Telephony products. We were among one of the first companies to secure Telecoms (now IMDA) approval to market Cordless Phones & Answering machines in Singapore during the late 80’s.

Our comprehensive range of Phones from started from basic corded phone , Caller ID device, Long range 924mhz Cordless phones and DECT phones. A survey in the late 90’s shown that Alcom had over 50% of market share for Residential Telephones and this is attributed to the hard work and dedication of its team and very strong support from its manufacturing associates and our excellent infrastructure and strong backing from our Sales & marketing, Administration , Technical /service support, & Logistics team.

As an Exclusive Sanyo Distributor & Authorized Service Centre over 15 years, we marketed Sanyo Cordless Phones, Sanyo Mobile phones & Sanyo fax machines.

Our very own ALCOM pagers were launched in collaboration with Goldstar Korea and ALCOM fax machines from Korean manufacturers.

Our concrete experience in the Telecommunication field of over 20 years and with strong support from our manufacturing associates overseas, we added the product range with our very own ALCOM household appliances and Audio Visual products in 2003.

In 2005 Alcom was appointed and Authorized as a Sole Distributor of Motorola DECT Phones & Recreational Walkie Talkie’s. Within a year we were placed as the top distributor worldwide in Oct 2008 for achieving over 33% market share for Motorola DECT phones in Singapore within such a short time.

In 2005 we joint ventured and started Australian concept F&B outlets called Mad Jack Café.

In 2007  we were appointed to distribute Hyundai DECT phones,  and in 2008 Thomson Internet Radio DECT phones.

In 2008  we ventured businesses in Medical products such as ZENO Acne Clearing Device from USA.

With the success of Motorola DECT & Walkie Talkie’s, Alcom was Authorized in 2009 to market Motorola’s new product range of Digital Photo Frames & Baby Monitors.

In 2013 we were appointed to Distribute Alcatel Telephones and Philips Pico and Screeneo Projectors.

In 2015 Motorola Bluetooth Headsets and WiFi Cameras were added.

Motorola True Wireless Earbuds were added in 2016 and Motorola Dash Cam and sports cam in 2017.
